Job summary

Axcis Education in Sutton is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to help pupils with SEND, specifically ASD and SEMH, as they transition into secondary education.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support for Year 7 and Year 8 students, promote engagement in lessons, support emotional regulation, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom. The role is full-time, term-time only, with a daily rate of £92.63 PAYE, and includes CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with ASD/SEMH is desirable but not essential.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to promote learning and engagement.
• Able to build rapport with young people and support emotional regulation.
• Willing to undergo safeguarding checks and DBS processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for Year 7 and Year 8 students.
• Support engagement in lessons and help students reach learning goals.
• Work with teachers and SEND team to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with behaviour support and promote positive relationships.
