Supply Desk is recruiting a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with autism, ADHD and SEMH in a West Sussex primary school. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and support staff to create a calm, structured learning environment and tailor activities to the pupil’s needs.

• Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Calm, patient and empathetic approach to learners.
• Strong communication with students, teachers and colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with autism, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Support learning, engagement and participation through adapted activities.
• Encourage emotional regulation using strategies such as emotion coaching.
• Establish clear routines and use visual aids to support understanding.
• Implement positive behaviour strategies and provide consistent support.
• Support sensory needs, movement breaks and transitions throughout the day.
• Build independence, confidence and positive social interaction skills.
• Work with the class teacher, SENCo and external professionals to ensure consistency.
