Supply Desk Ltd. is recruiting a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant in West Sussex to support a pupil with autism, ADHD and SEMH needs. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and support staff to create a structured and nurturing learning environment.

The role requires patience, empathy and a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning, with opportunities to develop skills in emotion regulation and inclusive teaching strategies.

Formación

• Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD and SEMH is valued.
• Calm, patient and empathetic approach with positive relationships.
• Understanding of emotional regulation and sensory needs helpful.
• Ability to adapt activities to learning needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with autism, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Support learning, engagement and participation through adapted activities and resources.
• Encourage emotional regulation using strategies such as emotion coaching and Zones of Regulation.
• Establish clear routines and use visual aids to support understanding and reduce anxiety.
• Implement positive behaviour strategies, offering encouragement and consistent support.
• Support sensory needs, movement breaks and transitions throughout the school day.
• Build independence, confidence and positive social interaction skills.
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCo and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
