Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a dedicated EYFS/SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Huyton. You will provide focused support to a student within EYFS/KS1, helping them access the curriculum and participate in lessons.

You will implement tailored strategies, monitor progress, and collaborate with teachers and SENCOs. A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification and strong SEN understanding are required, with excellent communication and safeguarding commitment.

Qualifications

• Implement tailored learning strategies and interventions as directed by the class teacher and SENCO.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment that supports the student's academic and social development.
• Assist the student with classroom activities, helping them to engage fully with the curriculum.
• Monitor and track the student's progress through detailed observations and feedback.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external specialists to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to support.
• Adapt materials and teaching aids to meet the unique learning style and needs of the individual child.

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning in schools (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
• Proven experience working as a 1:1 support assistant, ideally within an EYFS or KS1 setting.
• A strong understanding of SEN, including experience with specific learning difficulties or complex needs.
