Job summary

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for Personal Care Teaching Assistant roles in the Chepstow area to start ASAP. This long-term position could become permanent for the right candidate.

You will support pupils from early years to KS2 with PMLD on a 1:1 basis, requiring resilience due to complex needs and potential challenging behaviour. Experience in a similar role is essential; safeguarding training within the last year is preferred, and DBS checks (update service) are required or

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential, whether this be adult or child, care or school setting.
• Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (training can be provided)
• Manual Handling training is highly desired
• Child and Adult DBS on the update service, or willingness to get one
• Team Teach training is highly desired
• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the update service or willingness to process a new application
• Provide two professional references

Responsibilities

• Support pupils from early years to KS2 with PMLD on a 1:1 basis.
• Be resilient and manage challenging behaviours.
• Assist in maintaining safe, supportive classroom environments.
