Job summary

Randstad Student & Worker Support seeks a dedicated 1:1 Key Adult / Learning Support Mentor to assist a young person on an EOTAS package. You will work across home and community settings, supporting educational activities and outdoor learning, including train-spotting excursions.

The role emphasizes patient, collaborative mentoring, a valid UK driving licence, and DBS clearance. You will travel with the learner and work closely with therapy specialists to implement strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience with special educational needs including ASD and PDA.
• Patient and collaborative mentoring style.
• Valid UK driver’s licence and car insurance to transport the learner.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Accompany and support the learner across activities such as forest school, workshops, and swimming.
• Facilitate travel to and from activities using your own vehicle.
• Deliver indirect therapeutic strategies designed by Speech & Language, Occupational, and Physiotherapy teams.
• Use self-regulation techniques and a sensory diet to support during moments of anxiety.
• Collaborate with the therapy team and family to ensure smooth handovers.
