Job summary

Randstad Student & Worker Support is seeking an empathetic Primary Tutor with QTS to deliver 1-to-1 therapeutic tuition for a primary pupil with ASD and ADHD, currently navigating EBSA and an Alternative Provision pathway.

The role involves up to 15 hours per week in a home or alternative venue, with a gradual build-up starting September 2026, and close collaboration with parents and the pupil's mainstream school.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with Primary expertise.
• Proven SEND experience with ASD/ADHD/EBSA and high anxiety.
• Ability to adapt maths with practical visuals and low-arousal teaching methods.
• Patient, creative, calm, and flexible with parental involvement in early stages.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver 1-to-1 therapeutic tuition and academic support.
• Use non-worksheet, hands-on activities and bite-sized learning chunks.
• Provide emotional and sensory support using visual aids.
• Collaborate with parents to ease initial sessions.
• Coordinate gradual reintegration with mainstream school staff.
