Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to join welcoming primary schools across Swansea for a September 2026 start. You’ll support a pupil on a 1:1 basis, helping them access learning, build confidence and reach their potential in a nurturing classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

About the Role

You'll work on a 1:1 basis supporting a pupil with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), helping them access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.

You'll become a trusted adult within the classroom, providing encouragement, emotional support and consistency throughout the school day.

Working alongside experienced teachers, ALNCOs and senior leaders, you'll help create a positive learning environment where every child feels safe, valued and able to succeed.

No two days are the same, making this one of the most rewarding roles in education.

Your Responsibilities

As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated one-to-one classroom support.
• Support pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs and other Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
