GSL Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work in a primary school in Harlow, providing dedicated 1:1 support to a child with complex SEN needs. The role is full-time and long-term, requiring experience with SEN and the ability to adapt approaches to individual needs.

You will collaborate with the class teacher and SEN team to support learning, communication and daily routines, helping the child access activities and develop independence.

Competenze

• Experience supporting children with complex SEN needs.
• Experience with autism/ADHD/communication difficulties.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach to challenging behaviours.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to commit to full-time, long-term role.

Mansioni

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a primary-aged child with complex SEN needs.
• Help the child access classroom activities, learning opportunities and the wider school environment.
• Follow individual support plans and guidance from the class teacher and SEN team.
• Adapt activities and communication approaches to suit the child’s needs.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, the SEN team and other professionals involved in the child’s development.
