Job summary

Llangiwg Primary School is seeking a qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in the foundation phase. The role focuses on meeting learning, emotional and developmental needs within a warm, inclusive school community.

The successful candidate will work with the class teacher to deliver a broad curriculum, foster independence and collaborate with ALNCo, professionals and parents to support the pupil’s progress.

Qualifications

• Qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistant with ALN experience.
• Experience with foundation phase pupils.
• Ability to work 1:1 with a pupil with additional learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil in foundation phase, tailored to learning, emotional and developmental needs.
• Support the class teacher in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Promote the pupil’s independence, wellbeing and social development.
• Work closely with teaching staff, ALNCo, external professionals and parents/carers.
