Job summary

Quantum Scholars in Bromyard and surrounding areas seeks an Outreach Tutor to support young people accessing EOTAS and Alternative Provision. This 1:1 role helps learners re-engage with education and build confidence in a flexible, personalised setting.

Ideal candidates will bring patience, empathy and a track record with SEND/SEMH learners. Availability during normal school hours is required; DBS and right to work in the UK are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND/SEMH needs is essential.
• Outreach, tutoring, intervention or 1:1 learning support is desirable.
• Patient, calm and empathetic approach.
• Comfort working with young people who may display challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 outreach support to learners accessing EOTAS/AP provision.
• Help learners re-engage with education in a calm, supportive environment.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with individual learners.
• Support learners with SEND/SEMH needs, including anxiety and behavioural challenges.
• Deliver personalised learning activities aligned to learner needs and interests.
• Support development of confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Deliver academic support across subjects like English, Maths and Science as appropriate.
• Adapt approach to learner presentation and needs.
• Encourage routines and progress toward educational goals.
• Monitor engagement and provide feedback, collaborating with Quantum Scholars and professionals.
