Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking an empathetic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS3/KS4 pupil with SEND at a secondary school in Kirkham (PR4). The role focuses on personalised academic support, emotional resilience, and enabling access to the mainstream curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SEND (ASC/ADHD/SEMH/MLD), strong communication skills, and a calm, patient approach. Full-time hours and term-time only.

Qualifications

• DBS check not explicitly stated as required, but a DBS or willingness to process is common for school roles.
• Experience supporting young people with SEND in secondary settings is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Calm, adaptable and resilient in challenging classroom situations.
• Must be based in or within easy commute of Kirkham (PR4).

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 targeted support to a KS3/KS4 student with SEND.
• Support emotional regulation and behaviour in line with IEP/EHCP outcomes.
• Foster independence and social inclusion among peers.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCo and parents to monitor progress.
• Assist with transitions and pastoral care throughout the school day.
