Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group Ltd seeks a dedicated Behaviour Mentor for a large primary school in Lewisham. You will provide 1:1 support to a pupil with challenging behaviour, helping them regulate emotions and stay engaged throughout the day.

The role requires experience with challenging behaviour and SEMH. Restraint or positive handling training is desirable, with strong collaboration with teachers and the pastoral team to implement consistent strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour.
• Restraint training or positive handling training desirable.
• Experience with SEMH or additional needs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to the child throughout the day.
• Help the child regulate emotions and stay engaged in learning.
• Encourage participation and build confidence within the classroom.
• Develop a trusting relationship to support consistent behaviour strategies.
• Work with teachers and pastoral staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies.
