Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 3 within a nurturing primary school environment. The role focuses on 1:1 support and targeted help during lessons, with opportunities for small group work to reinforce learning and social development.

The successful candidate will champion SEMH needs, model positive behaviour, and collaborate closely with teachers and staff to maintain high expectations for achievement and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• References covering 24 months, including childcare roles.
• Enhanced DBS that is on the Update Service.
• Qualifications and training as required by Protocol Education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs.
• Deliver some small group work inside and outside the classroom.
• Support pupils to access learning and develop socially, emotionally and academically.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to deliver effective provision.
