Protocol Education is seeking a 1:1 SEND Support Assistant to work in a specialist school in Ferryhill, supporting a pupil with Autism. You will provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day, helping with transitions, regulatory needs and learning activities.

The pupil can find busy environments, transitions and changes to routine difficult, which can sometimes lead to periods of dysregulation and challenging behaviour.
Your role will be about much more than managing behaviour. You'll help the pupil understand their environment, feel secure, develop trust and gradually build the skills they need to become more independent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
