Overview

The Role

As Marketing Strategy & Execution Manager for Africa and Indian Ocean, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Imperial’s transition into a truly consumer-centric organisation. This newly created senior leadership position sits at the centre of our brand-building agenda, working across multiple markets to unlock growth opportunities and strengthen marketing excellence.

Principle Accountabilities
  • Deliver and execute brand strategies for local hero brands and contribute to multi-regional brand plans.
  • Develop, monitor and track executional plans and activity calendars across markets, ensuring alignment with strategy.
  • Build operational marketing excellence by identifying capability gaps and driving structured development plans.
  • Strengthen consumer centricity through insights and best practice sharing across markets.
  • Manage investment requirements and A&P budgets, ensuring compliance, efficiency and ROI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Trade Marketing, Finance, CLA, GSC and other teams to support business cases and drive strategic initiatives.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Demonstrable project management experience, with the ability to lead complex initiatives across diverse markets.
  • Proven Industry experience with the ability to manage budgets and deliver measurable ROI
  • Experience of managing or supervising teams, with cultural awareness and ability to work in developing markets.
  • Strong communicator, fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
  • High business acumen, including portfolio management, financial understanding and agile ways of working.
  • Results-driven, and proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset.
