A leading technology company in the Media industry is seeking a Data Science lead to grow and manage a team. With a focus on Recommendation Engines and Personalisation, you will not only lead projects but also foster a dynamic data science culture. - 6-10 years commercial experience required.
- Strong experience in Recommendation Engines & Personalisation.
- Skills in SQL, Python, and knowledge of SPARK, Tensorflow, Scala are a plus.

- Lead and mentor a team of 6 Data Scientists.
- Responsible for creating a strong data science culture.
- Deliver projects on recommendation & personalisation, and customer segmentation.
Connaissances
Salary: to €90,000 + excellent bonus & benefits package
An innovative technology company that serves the Media industry is looking to hire a Data Science lead as part of their impressive current growth (30% headcount increase this year – with a further 70% growth in personnel budgeted for 2021).
The Data Science lead will mentor/manage a team of 6 Data Scientists and be responsible for creating a great data science culture and strong standards for the team as they continue to grow this function in house. The role will be approximately 70% hands on initially with 30% team management & mentoring and stakeholder management.
You will join a wider Data, BI & AI team consisting of approx 35 heads. 3 Data Analysts, 6 Data Scientist and the rest Data Engineers
What they are looking for:
- An experienced practitioner with circa. 6-10 years commercial experience
- Strong experience around Recommendation Engines & Personalisation
- AB Testing / Statistical Techniques associated with Experimentation platform (Bayesian)
- SQL, Python, SPARK, Tensorflow, Scala (nice to have)
In the first 12 months you will take the lead on important and interesting projects involved in recommendation & personalisation, and on Customer Segmentation.
You will also be looked on to deliver a strong culture within the Data Science team as they grow.
