Job summary

Ascendance seeks an aerospace engineer to support the aerodynamic and performance teams in building the VTOL ATEA prototype. You will ramp up with CFD tools (CFD solvers, Matlab, Python, Paraview) and contribute to model development and flight-test analysis.

The role emphasizes improving development methods and tools and collaborating in a fast-paced, innovative company culture. A M.Eng. in Aerospace is required, with CFD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• M.Eng. in Aerospace with specialization in Flight Dynamics, Aerodynamics, or Aircraft Design.
• Initial experience with CFD simulations using industrial solvers.
• Some experience in Matlab, Python and Paraview is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ramp up in the usage of current aerodynamic and performance tools (CFD, Matlab, Python, ParaView).
• Improve methods and tools for different phases of aircraft development.
• Support in building aerodynamic and performance models of the ATEA VTOL prototype.
• Support in analyzing ongoing flight tests of the ATEA prototype.
