Job summary

Ascendance is seeking an aerospace engineer to support the VTOL model development of the ATEA prototype. You will ramp up usage of CFD tools, Matlab and Paraview to build aerodynamic and performance models, while assisting in flight-test analysis.

We value hands-on CFD experience and a passion for advancing aviation technology in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Hold an M.Eng. in Aerospace with specialization in Flight Dynamics, Aerodynamics, or Aircraft Design.
• Initial experience with CFD simulations using industrial solvers.
• Some experience with Matlab, Python and Paraview is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ramp-up in the usage of current aerodynamic and performance tools (CFD, Matlab, Python, Paraview).
• Improve methods and tools for different phases of the aircraft development.
• Support in building aerodynamic and performance models of the ATEA VTOL Prototype.
• Support in the analysis of ongoing flight tests of the ATEA prototype.

Job description

Your role :

Directly reporting to the OAD Team Lead, you will support aerodynamic and performance teams in building the Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) model of ATEA prototype aircraft.

Your main responsibilities will be :

• Ramp-up in the usage of current aerodynamic and performance tools at Ascendance. This includes, among others, a CFD code, Matlab and Python scripting, Paraview post-processing


• Improve the methods and tools for different phases of the aircraft development


• Support in building aerodynamic and performance models of ATEA VTOL Prototype


• Support in the analysis of ongoing flight tests of ATEA prototype.

The job has been made for you if you :
