Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking an aerospace engineer to solve and validate aerodynamic and fluid-dynamics problems. You will translate physical requirements into computational models and solver-ready cases, create geometries and meshes, and run CFD workflows using command-line tools.

You will also review AI-generated solutions to spot invalid configurations and unrealistic outputs. The role requires an MS or PhD in aerospace or mechanical engineering with a focus on aerodynamics or thermofluids,

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or MS in Mechanical Engineering with aerodynamics focus.
Solid understanding of fluid mechanics and applied aerodynamics.
Experience formulating and executing CFD or aerodynamic analyses.
Practical proficiency with Python.
Experience with at least one CLI-enabled engineering tool or library.

Responsibilities

Solve and validate aerodynamic and fluid-dynamics problems.
Translate physical requirements into computational models and solver-ready cases.
Create or modify geometries, computational domains, and meshes.
Run CFD and aerodynamic-analysis workflows using command-line-accessible tools.
Review AI-generated engineering solutions and identify incorrect assumptions and unrealistic outputs.
