Shine, with offices in Europe, seeks a VP of Engineering for the ERP Tribe to lead and grow the engineering function across a regulated ERP environment. This role requires strong leadership, governance and collaboration with product and risk teams, and will shape how AI is adopted to enhance delivery across the Tribe.

Location options include Porto, Portugal or Paris, France, with the possibility of two remote working days per week and close alignment to Shine's strategic goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with progressive leadership.
• Hands-on AI coding assistants and agentic tools in production.
• Experience in regulated/fintech environments.
• Ability to challenge a Principal Engineer's reasoning while remaining collaborative.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and coaching to the ERP Tribe engineering team.
• Define engineering organisation structure and operating model for the Tribe.
• Improve the predictability, transparency and quality of software delivery, including documentation.
• Drive AI adoption with governance, quality bars and guardrails for their use.
• Build relationships with Product, Compliance, Risk, Security and other stakeholders.
