Job summary

Omnea is seeking an exceptional mid-level attorney to join our Legal team as the first US-based lawyer. Reporting to the Head of Legal (London), you will own commercial negotiations, product and data privacy matters, and support corporate transactions as Omnea scales in the US.

You will work closely with product, engineering, and security, craft compliance documentation and AI policies, and help drive the company’s global expansion with a practical, business-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney admitted to practice in a US state; top law firm or in-house experience preferred.
• Proven track record negotiating and closing complex, high-volume SaaS deals with enterprise clients.
• Experience with GDPR, SCCs, DPAs and cross-border data transfer issues.
• Ability to own customer relationships and deal strategy independently.
• Comfort coordinating across time zones and with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate enterprise commercial agreements including MSAs, SLAs, and DPAs.
• Own US data privacy matters, negotiate data processing terms, advise on state and international laws.
• Manage high-volume contract workflows to support sales and unblock deals.
• Develop playbooks and fallback positions for common enterprise negotiations.
• Advise on legal and compliance implications of new features with product, engineering, and security.
• Review product releases for regulatory alignment and contractual commitments.
• Support the product team with compliance docs, AI policies, and feature specifications.
• Assist on corporate and strategic projects, including fundraising and international expansion.
