Stellantis is seeking a Global WHS Toxicologist to implement standardized processes ensuring compliance with European, national, and local regulations and company policies. The role focuses on chemical health and safety, managing chemical material inventory, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction initiatives across Stellantis sites.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required in Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Chemistry or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of European chemical and environmental regulations (REACH, CLP, GHS, RoHS).
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to perform chemical exposure assessment and risk management.
  • Proficient with chemical management databases and reporting tools.

  • Collaborate with Hygiene, Legal, Environmental functions to manage risks.
  • Develop and deliver WHS chemical management training programs.

Description du poste

The Global Wellbeing, Health and Safety (WHS) Toxicologist is responsible for implementing and administering standardized WHS processes to ensure compliance with European, national and local regulations, as well as Stellantis policies and procedures. This position contributes to the continuous improvement of occupational health and safety performance through the prevention of occupational illnesses, reduction of chemical-related risks, and support of a safe working environment across Stellantis operations.

This role focuses on chemical health and safety compliance, including occupational and environmental chemical hazards, Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) advanced safety activities, ISO 45001 requirements, and corporate health and safety improvement initiatives and be responsible for and not limited to:

  • Management and maintenance of the global / site chemical material inventory
  • Function as owner/SME (subject matter expert) for global chemical material evaluation/approval process
  • Oversight / ongoing evaluation of chemical hazards and associated risks to employees, community and customers where appropriate.
  • Support Global Chemical regulatory compliance
  • Lead Corporate Chemical risk reduction planning and implementation of associated programs/metrics
  • Serve as functional SME for chemical inventory information systems and related tools/reporting requirements
  • Work in conjunction with global Occupational Hygiene , Medical, Legal, Environmental (and other functions) to ensure chemical risks are identified and managed; and that chemical inventory information is available to support associated program requirements
  • Develop & Implement WHS chemical management training programs and associated assessments to ensure required training is identified and conducted.

Profile

  • Master's degree in Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Chemistry or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of European chemical and environmental regulations, including:
  • REACH
  • CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging)
  • GHS implementation within the EU
  • ELV Directive (End-of-Life Vehicles)
  • RoHS Directive
  • Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements
  • SVHC and hazardous substances management
  • Knowledge and/or experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong chemistry background across diverse chemical materials and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in chemical exposure assessment, industrial hygiene, toxicological evaluation and chemical risk management.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and chemical management databases/tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in toxicology, chemical risk assessment, occupational hygiene or chemical safety compliance.
  • Professional certifications in Toxicology or Occupational Hygiene (e.g. ERT, EUROTOX, DABT, CIH).
  • PhD in Toxicology or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience within the automotive, manufacturing, chemical or industrial sectors.
  • Experience supporting ISO 45001 management systems and corporate chemical compliance programs.
