Job summary

Linum Consult Ltd. is seeking a Technical Bid Writer for its international proposals team in the Paris region.

You will transform complex technical and engineering information into clear bid narratives and work with Proposal Managers, Business Developers and engineers on major tenders for civil engineering and infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes shaping the narrative behind bids, extracting information from technical teams, and communicating the organisation's capability and value

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within bid writing, technical writing or similar.
• Outstanding written and spoken English, producing polished professional content.
• Previous experience in a bid or tender environment.
• Ability to analyse tender documentation and extract client requirements.
• Confidence working with engineers and technical specialists.
• Strong planning, coordination and time-management skills.
• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Journalism, Commerce, Marketing or related discipline.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Basic French would be advantageous.
• The right to live and work in the EU.

Technical Bid Writer (Construction) – France

CLIENT

Linum Consult is working with a leading international construction group to recruit an experienced Technical Bid Writer for its international proposals team in the Paris region.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished writer who enjoys taking complex technical and engineering information and transforming it into clear, persuasive and compelling bid content.

Working alongside Proposal Managers, Business Developers and technical specialists, you will contribute to major international tenders for complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects, including tunnels, bridges, roads, marine works and geotechnical projects.

This is much more than an editing role. You will help shape the narrative behind major bids, understanding what the client is asking for, extracting the right information from technical teams and communicating the organisation's technical capability and value proposition convincingly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Writing, developing and editing high-quality technical and commercial bid content
• Translating complex engineering and construction information into clear, compelling narratives
• Working closely with engineering teams and subject matter experts to obtain and develop technical content
• Producing material covering construction methodologies, design capability, project delivery, risk, quality, HSE, sustainability, PPP delivery and plant & equipment
• Ensuring submissions respond accurately and convincingly to tender requirements
• Maintaining consistency, quality and accuracy across bid documentation
• Developing executive summaries, project descriptions and corporate capability content
• Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of an international proposal-content library

PROFILE

• Minimum 5 years' experience within bid writing, technical writing, proposal development or a similar position
• Outstanding written and spoken English, with the ability to produce polished professional and technical content
• Previous experience working within a bid or tender environment
• Ability to analyse tender documentation and understand client requirementsConfidence working directly with engineers and technical specialists
