Job summary

FCM is seeking an European Bid Writer to own the end-to-end bid management process, coordinating proposals across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal and Operations. You will craft persuasive, client-focused responses and ensure timely, compliant submissions.

The role requires strong MS Word skills and a background in PR, journalism or bid writing, with English C2 and French (C1/C2) preferred. This is a full-time Paris position within a global travel management setting.

Qualifications

• English (C2) proficiency essential.
• French (C1/C2) proficiency preferred.
• Other European language preferred but not essential.
• 3–5 years experience in PR, journalism and/or bid writing across any industry essential.
• Advanced MS Word skills & proficient in MS Office essential.
• APMP Foundation/Practitioner Level certification preferred.
• Education to degree level preferred.
• Experience with proposal automation software (or similar) preferred.

• Managing the full bid lifecycle from qualification through to submission.
• Leading bid planning sessions and coordinating cross-functional proposal teams.
• Writing, editing and enhancing proposal content that showcases FCM's strengths and differentiators.
• Developing proposal structures, executive summaries and customer-focused responses.
• Ensuring all submissions are compliant, professionally presented and delivered on time.
• Building strong relationships with internal subject matter experts and senior stakeholders.
• Maintaining bid governance, document control and quality standards throughout the process.
• Coaching and supporting colleagues on proposal best practice and persuasive bid writing.

About the role

Are you a talented bid professional with a passion for creating compelling, high-impact proposals that win business? We're looking for an experienced Bid Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting FCM's growth across EMEA and global markets, while partnering closely with Account Management and Corporate brands within the UK.

In this highly visible role, you'll take full ownership of the end-to-end bid management process, leading the development of persuasive, client-focused proposals that clearly communicate FCM's value proposition. Working with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Product and Operations, you'll bring together expertise from across the business to deliver professional, compliant and commercially compelling tender responses.

As the driving force behind each bid, you'll coordinate proposal teams, manage timelines, maintain governance and document controls, and ensure every submission is delivered to the highest standard and within tight deadlines. Your ability to transform complex information into clear, engaging and winning content will be key to securing new business opportunities and strengthening FCM's market position.
