Jobtailor is seeking a technical lead to own the architecture for two institutional websites and ~30 business applications. You will drive sound decisions, ensure security and RGAA 4.1, GDPR, and eco-design compliance, and lead a major CMS upgrade with impact assessment and cutover planning.

You will develop Java/JCR back-end modules, strengthen Solr 9 pipelines, mentor two developers, and boost automated tests while refining the CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins and SonarQube.

Qualifications

5–8 years of Java development with proven leadership experience.
Expertise in enterprise Java CMS platforms and JCR model.
Experience migrating major CMS upgrades with production impact.

Responsabilités

Lead architecture decisions, security, and RGAA/GDPR compliance.

Description du poste

Become the technical lead for a critical ecosystem comprising two institutional websites and around thirty business applications.
Ensure sound application architecture decisions, application security, and compliance with RGAA 4.1, GDPR, and eco-design standards.
Lead the major version upgrade of the Java CMS based on a JCR repository, including impact assessment, work-package breakdown, cutover plan, and regression-prevention strategy.
Write architecture documentation and prepare effort estimates in work units for the client’s IT department.
Ensure the effectiveness of Apache Solr 9 and its linguistic indexing pipeline.
Develop Java/JCR back-end modules, components, REST services, and online business tools.
Redesign the third-party data ingestion pipeline and prepare for the integration of AI-powered semantic search.
Provide technical leadership and support the development of two developers through code reviews and mentoring.
Write and maintain architecture documentation and onboarding guides.
Establish two-person coverage for critical components.
Increase automated test coverage and optimize the client’s CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and SonarQube.

Requirements

5 to 8 years of Java development experience, with proven technical leadership experience.
Expertise in enterprise Java CMS platforms (Magnolia, Jahia, or Liferay), extended with custom development.
Strong knowledge of the JCR model.
Hands-on experience leading a major version upgrade in production.
Strong technical leadership skills.
Ability to develop team members’ skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills when working with a demanding client IT department.
Professional proficiency in English.
Knowledge of Java 11/17, PostgreSQL, REST services, Apache Solr 9, Vue.js 2/3, Freemarker, SCSS, Bootstrap, Maven, Git/Gitea, Jenkins, SonarQube, JUnit, Mockito, JMeter, and Tomcat.
Knowledge of RGAA 4.1, GDPR, and eco-design standards.
