An educational program organization is seeking a Student Coordinator in Paris, France, to lead logistics for pre-law study abroad programs. This role requires excellent communication skills in both French and English, as you'll coordinate activities and engage with students to enhance their experience. Responsibilities include managing in-country logistics and ensuring smooth operations. This seasonal full-time contract is a unique opportunity to contribute to a transformative educational experience for students in Europe during the summer of 2026.

Responsabilités

  • Organize logistics for student programs and activities.
  • Manage in-country orientation and transportation.
  • Engage with students to enhance their overall experience.
  • Arrange housing, meals, excursions, and training venues.
  • Prepare welcome materials and coordinate communications with students and partners.
  • Oversee on-site budgets, payments and receipts.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support and safety supervision.
  • Engage with students to enhance shadowing experiences and cultural context.
  • Provide daily updates to the team and maintain records.
  • Complete offboarding tasks and financial reconciliation.
  • Collect feedback forms and update program records.

About The Lex Fellowship

The Lex Fellowshipisan experiential education program designed for pre-Law students, connecting students across the US with legal professionals in Europe, and in the US. Fellows visit legal entities of various sizes andspecialities, as well as receive Legal Training Sessions from a Legal Associate, and take part in cultural activities. These programs foster cross-cultural exchange, broaden academic perspectives, and equip students to pursue their legal aspirations with passion and purpose.

In addition to Lex, our organization runs similar educational programs under the name of Beacon and Atlantis Service Research Projects for pre-medical and/or pre-business students toparticipatein a consultancy project for a host healthcare or business organization, whilst led and mentored by an experienced consultant Project Leader. The mission of these programs is to better equip studentsintheir career choices and university applications, be it in the healthcare or business fields.

Depending on location and programs’ availability, some candidates will be offered a City Manager role in one of these programs, in which case further information will be provided during or after the application process.

Position Summary

The Student Coordinator position is part of the Lex team and allows you to have the unique opportunity to contribute to the continued success of Lex’s mission while also working within the broader CEA CAPA community.

The Student Coordinator is the driving force behind our programs, ensuring seamless in-country implementation of program activities and exceptional student experience. They manage dailylogistics, swiftly address any safety concerns, and empower students to fully embrace their experience.

You will be working as a team with the Legal Associate (typically someone with a US JD background whois responsible for the educational aspect of the program) in your assigned program location.

This position is a seasonal, full-time, contract position with a pre-established start and end date. It is required that candidatesareable toattend a4-dayonline training, plus a13dayin-person training in Italy, prior to the program start date (dates below).

Responsibilities

The job duties listed below are not all inclusive of what the employee may be responsible for. Other duties may be assigned as needed:

  • Complete required online and in-person training in Italy(Online dates: 7th - 10th April, In person dates: 13th- 25th April).
  • Collaborate with the Senior Operations Team to review program details andlogistics.
  • Get in touch withthe law firms,lawyersand legal institutionsregardingthe legal activities
  • Coordinate withtraining room providers, housing, meal, and excursion providers toorganize &finalizearrangementsof your programs
  • Participate inpreparationcalls and ensure all necessary communications are sent to students and partners.
  • Prepare and distribute welcome materials to students

During Program:

  • Lead in-country orientation for students and ensure smooth logistical operations, including organizing, and coordinating transportation, excursions and tours, meals, law firm visits, workspace for legal training sessionsand accommodations.
  • Oversee program budgets and manage on-site funds, payments, and receipts.
  • Accompany the grouptoall planned activities and serve ina 24/7 on-call capacity, managing emergency protocols if necessary.
  • Engage with students to enhance their shadowing experience and share insightsonlocallawand cultural contexts, whilstmaintaininga positive and flexible environment for program participants
  • Provide daily updates to the Senior Operations Team andmaintainclear communication with students,law firms, lawyers, and partners.
  • Document program activities through photos and videos to share with the Senior Operations Team.
  • Complete offboarding tasks, including expense reporting and financial reconciliation.
  • Collect andsubmitfeedback formsbased on program experience and your interactions atLex
  • Ensureall records, including key contacts and program details, are updated in the database.
Qualifications
  • Attained aBachelor’sdegree or higher
  • Proficiencyin English andFrench, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate groups, particularly in international settings (preferably working with our target group)
  • Experience working with college students and faculty, ideally in education abroad or related environments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and community development skills, with the ability to build relationships across cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle crisis management situations with poise, professionalism, and effective problem-solving.
  • Ability torepresentLexwith enthusiasm, integrity, and professionalism, upholding the organization’s mission and values.
  • Possesses strong judgment, withexcellent negotiationand decision-making skills, with experience in policy enforcement and conflict resolution.
  • Previousinternational study, internship, work, or volunteer experience is a plus.
  • Collaborative team player who is visible, accessible, and supportive of students throughout the program.
  • Flexibility to travel/temporarilyrelocateat late notice should it berequired
Required Working Availability

This is a full-time position, as standard is Monday to Friday. However, we will require candidates to have flexibility in working hours and days, and some weekend work will berequired.

Employment Terms

Programs run from May to August2026. The City Manager will also take part in a 4 day online, and 13-day Project Planning Course that will take place in mid-April in Italy. The position isa contractor position.
