Your Role

As the Center Director, you will be responsible for the overall management, development, and execution of study abroad programs at the designated location. This role involves leadership over academic, financial, staff/team, and operational aspects, ensuring that all programs meet organizational standards and student needs.

What You’ll Do
  • Accountable for the derivation and delivery of Paris’ annual operations plan, ensuring that this is effectively communicated to all Departments.
  • Attract, recruit, develop and lead a high‑performing team, ensuring effective division of work and adherence to local labor laws.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, maintaining strong communication and teamwork among staff.
  • Collaborate with the local and global stakeholders to balance student support and academic integrity.
  • Collaborate with the Global Support Office, and other functions to support projects on an ad hoc basis throughout the year.
  • Represent and promote CEA CAPA’s mission and values to students and stakeholders.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to enhance CEA CAPA’s visibility and brand.
  • Foster robust relationships with local partner institutions.
  • Provide direction on all aspects of study abroad programs, including academics, housing, student services, and health and safety.
  • Develop program calendars and ensure that the program's online database is maintained.
  • Collaborate with other centers and departments to share best practices and ensure consistency across programs.
  • Analyze program performance data to make informed decisions for continuous improvement.
  • Design and deliver custom and faculty‑led programs in collaboration with both the PASS and Academic onsite teams.
  • Ensure that student experiences are enriching, culturally immersive, and aligned with academic goals.
  • Handle escalated student issues, including disciplinary actions and health and safety emergencies.
  • Monitor student feedback and implement changes to maintain or improve satisfaction scores.
  • Develop, implement and participate in the on‑call rotation of the emergency phone service.
  • Cultivate relationships with universities in collaboration with the Academic Team, and contribute to the development of marketing strategies to increase enrollment.
  • Assist where necessary in liaison with each local academic institution, managing course registration and monitoring students’ academic progress. Participation in the selection of local academic partnerships and provide leadership of the School of Record (SOR) assessment measures.
  • Report updates and changes from local institutions to the Global Support Office and collaborate on program improvements.
  • Host U.S. university visitors for recruitment and program visibility efforts.
  • Involved and advising on new innovative program design.
  • Develop and manage the center's budget, ensuring cost control in collaboration with the Home Office, and ensuring resourceful spending practices.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, vendor contracts, and payroll.
  • Communicate financial needs and updates to the central finance department.
  • Represent the center during all financial audits.
  • Regularly communicate with the Global Support Office such as Custom Programming, Student Affairs, Health and Safety and Academic Affairs on all relevant aspects of [Insert Location]’s operations.
  • Document and report student concerns and issues promptly.
  • Partner with the Marketing Department by communicating the center's offerings and participating in the recruitment of students.
