European Investment Bank (EIB) is seeking a high-impact Head of Business Applications & Engineering Division for its Luxembourg headquarters. The role leads a broad portfolio of business applications, integration platforms and software engineering enablement, with a strong emphasis on security, resilience and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience leading delivery, operation and evolution of business-critical application portfolios.
• Proven leadership in multicultural/international environments and ability to develop leaders and drive change.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to shape demand, define roadmaps and balance value with sustainability.
• Experience across full lifecycle of applications: architecture, engineering, integration, production, modernisation and retirement.
• Knowledge of modern software engineering standards, enablement capabilities, shared platforms and delivery practices.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Division’s portfolio of bespoke business applications, shaping demand and defining sustainable roadmaps.
• Drive the application integration strategy for secure, scalable platforms and services.
• Build and lead software engineering enablement with common standards and tooling.
• Develop and empower the Division’s management team across multiple disciplines.
• Manage delivery portfolio, resources and budget to balance investment with production stability and security.
• Promote automation, DevSecOps, observability and continuous service improvement within the Division.
