Job summary

Malt in Paris invites a motivated finance operations intern to join our fast-paced team. You will help manage the order-to-cash cycle, support invoicing for enterprise clients, and learn how our finance functions power a growing freelance marketplace.

This 6-month full-time internship starts January 2027, requires Excel proficiency, fluent French and professional English, and a proactive, organized mindset.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a business school and seeking a full-time 6-month internship starting January 2027.
• Solid background in finance/administration, with a first successful experience in the field.
• Fully fluent in French with professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Innovation/Process automation: optimize financial processes, reduce manual tasks, and scale operations with full autonomy.
• Assist invoicing for enterprise accounts and ensure invoices are timely, accurate, and complete.
• Collaborate with accounting, sales, and legal to ensure billing accuracy.
• Manage customer support on issues relating to purchase orders, invoicing/payments, and off-platform invoicing (credit notes).
• Reconcile customer payments and cash collection; collect invoices due and meet deadlines.

Join our Finance Operations team and gain hands‑on experience in a fast-paced, international environment! As a key member of our team, your core mission will be to help manage the complete order-to-cash cycle for our clients but also work on different team projects to improve our day-to-day missions. You'll ensure smooth financial workflows, making a tangible impact on our business. Key responsibilities

• Innovation/Process automation: optimize current financial processes, reduce manual tasks, and scale operations with full autonomy.
• Help in managing theinvoicing process for our variousenterprise accounts.
• Ensure that invoices are timely, accurate and complete, in line with our model and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy: accounting, sales, legal.
• Manage customer support on issues relating to purchase orders, invoicing/payment and management of specific off-platform invoicing (credit notes).
• Reconciliation of customer payments and cash collection of payment notices.
• Collecting invoices due and overdue and ensuring that payment deadlines are met.

About you

• You are currently enrolled in a business school or similar and looking for a full-time 6-month-internship starting from January 2027.
• Solid background in finance/administration, with a first successful experience in the field.
• You are proactive, organized and responsible.
• We are looking for someone eager to learn and discover the freelance world.
• You have a good command of Excel (ENI, VBA certifications are a plus).
• You are fully fluent in French to communicate with our French clients & freelancers as well as your colleagues.
• Professional working proficiency in English is required to navigate Malt’s culture and collaborate day-to-day.

How to join the mission?

• First call with Ru-Syl our Talent Acquisition Specialist, to better understand your background, aspirations and answer your questions (30 minutes)
• Interview with a member of the Finance Operations Team, to discuss your experience and the role in more detail (45-60 minutes)
• Home assignment to prepare in order to evaluate your hard skills, to present to your future manager (1‑hour interview)
• Your profile is validated, and we will welcome you in our Parisian office from January 2027!
