Job summary

Malt is seeking an Accounting Expert to lead core accounting operations and scale financial systems for growth. You will join the Accounting team within Finance, report to the Accounting Director, and serve as the technical reference across local and international entities.

Your mission is to guarantee financial integrity, drive closing cycles, and transform accounting into an automated, scalable function. You will work with Legal, Operations, and Finance to align cross-functionally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical accounting or audits in a fast-paced or scale-up environment.
• Native French and fluent English to operate in an international setup.
• Strong mastery of local GAAP, audit coordination, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Proven track record deploying ERP automation workflows and data integrity improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end closing, ensure reliable and compliant reporting (GL, statutory).
• Automate and optimize accounting flows, bank reconciliations, and complex marketplace/PSP transactions.
• Participate in group statutory audits and act as technical reference for auditors and partners.
• Strengthen internal controls across subsidiaries in line with local GAAP.
• Collaborate with Legal, Operations, and Finance for cross-functional alignment.
• Assist in ERP/core tooling enhancements (NetSuite) to reduce bottlenecks.

As our new Accounting Expert, you will lead core accounting operations while scaling our financial systems for sustained growth.

You will join the Accounting team within our Finance department, reporting directly to Ramzi, our Accounting Director. You will act as a key technical reference across our local and international entities.

Your mission is to guarantee financial integrity, drive closing cycles toward a consistent, landing, and transform accounting into an automated, scalable machine.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate and accelerate the month-end and year-end closing processes (GL, statutory reporting) to achieve a reliable and compliant closing.

• Drive the automation and optimization of operational accounting flows, bank reconciliations, and complex marketplace/PSP transactions.

• Participate in group statutory audits and serve as the main technical reference point for auditors and external partners.

• Strengthen internal control frameworks and procedures across all subsidiaries in alignment with local GAAP.

• Partner closely with Legal, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.

• Participate in the enhancement and integration of core ERP and financial tooling (NetSuite) to eliminate manual bottlenecks and boost data integrity.

About you

• Relevant experience (minimum 5+ years) in technical accounting or audit, with a proven track record in a fast-paced or scale-up environment.

• French on a native level and fluent in english to operate smoothly within an international organization.

• Strong technical mastery of local GAAP, statutory audit coordination, and balance sheet reconciliation.

• Proven track record in optimizing ERP systems (Must have NetSuite) and deploying automation workflows, backed by rigorous analytical skills.
