Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Staff Software Engineer – Market Data based in France to design and build a next-generation market data platform delivering real-time feeds and historical datasets to institutional customers. You will own distributed backend systems, streaming infrastructure, data models, and APIs while mentoring engineers and guiding architectural decisions in a remote-first team.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and operating distributed backend systems with high reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Deep knowledge of real-time streaming, concurrency, state management, backpressure, and recovery.
• Strong CS fundamentals and backend engineering skills in Rust/Go or similar languages.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into robust architectural designs and production services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate distributed backend systems for real-time market data ingestion, processing, and delivery.
• Build streaming infrastructure with proper ordering, timestamps, duplicates handling, and recovery.
• Develop reliable client-facing data feeds and APIs with clear SLAs and evolving schemas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define reference data models and historical data capture.
• Own services through their lifecycle including deployment, monitoring, and on-call rotation.
