Job summary

Jobgether partners with a client in France seeking a Data Scientist (Time Series Forecasting) to design forecasting models for weather, energy market prices, and grid demand on a live energy trading platform. This fully remote, distributed team values quantitative expertise, practical problem solving, and production-grade code.

You will work with Python, SQL, and AI-assisted coding tools to translate complex forecasting methods into reliable software, collaborating across time zones to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Econometrics, Physics, Engineering, or another closely related quantitative discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in data science, forecasting, or related field with at least three years.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for data analysis and production implementation.
• Experience with agentic coding tools and remote, distributed collaboration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and refine time series forecasting models for weather conditions, energy prices, and grid supply/demand.
• Translate forecasting algorithms into robust, production-ready code powering a live energy trading platform.
• Analyze datasets, identify patterns, and improve forecasting accuracy for reliable trading decisions.
• Incorporate AI-assisted development tools into daily workflows to accelerate implementation.
• Work with data pipelines and production environments to ensure reliable forecasting solutions.
• Communicate findings clearly to distributed teams and align model development with business needs.
