Dune is hiring a hands-on Staff Engineer to build market data solutions across multiple chains. You will design scalable systems for ingestion, processing, and delivery of on-chain data, with a focus on correctness and performance. AI-assisted development and mentorship are core aspects of the role.

You will own services end-to-end, participate in on-call rotations, and drive cross-team technical decisions while ensuring reliability for a growing customer base across global teams.

Qualifications

• Built and operated distributed backend or data services with reliability requirements.
• Experience with realtime streaming systems: concurrency, state, recovery, and data correctness.
• Strong CS fundamentals; backend engineering skills; Rust/Go are valuable.

Responsabilités

• Design and build distributed systems for ingestion, normalization, processing, storage, and delivery of realtime market data.
• Build and operate streaming solutions handling event ordering, timestamps, duplicates, replay, gaps, recovery.
• Create reliable client feeds and APIs with clear delivery contracts, schema evolution, and access controls.
• Partner with teams on reference data models and historical data capture.
• Define and improve service objectives and data quality measures.
• Instrument latency, freshness, completeness, and correctness; drive incident fixes.
• Debug independently and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Own services through deployment and production support, including on-call rotation.
• Leverage AI in development: design, tests, failures, and documentation.
• Lead technical decisions and mentor engineers.
