Malt is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Paris to shape the company’s technical direction and architecture. You will lead high-impact initiatives and mentor engineers while aligning projects with business goals, across product teams and stakeholders.

The role demands deep backend expertise in Java/Kotlin, a product-focused mindset, and strong communication in English. The work model is hybrid, balancing office and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development, with SaaS/fintech experience.
• Expertise in Java or Kotlin and backend architecture, APIs, and data models.
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and ability to drive cross-team initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Lead high-impact projects spanning multiple teams and systems.
• Define short-term and long-term technical strategy and roadmap.
• Set coding standards and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Provide mentorship to engineers and guide architectural design.
• Coordinate across squads and stakeholders to align on priorities.
