Blue Yonder seeks a Staff AI Engineer to help build the engineering foundations behind its AI-powered products. You will work with model-training teams, researchers, data engineers, and product engineers to develop agents operating within real supply chain and retail workflows, building services, APIs, evaluation systems, and environments for training, testing, and deployment.

This hands-on software engineering and leadership role focuses on production behavior, traces, and data to turn insights

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems
• Strong Python and backend engineering skills with API design and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with LLM-powered applications and AI agents
• Practical knowledge of AI evaluation, traces, and nondeterministic systems
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerized deployments
• Ability to collaborate with researchers and model-training engineers to translate experiments into production

Responsabilités

• Architect and build robust software systems for AI agents across development, evaluation, deployment, and improvement
• Develop pipelines for collecting agent traces, tool calls, outcomes, and feedback
• Create evaluation harnesses and deterministic checks at scale
• Build feedback loops between production systems and model-training teams
• Design training and evaluation environments representing realistic workflows
• Ensure reproducibility across models, prompts, tools, and state
