Blue Yonder seeks an AI Engineer to build the next generation of AI-powered products. You will turn capable AI models into dependable software, implementing and improving agent systems and working with teams to understand agent behavior in realistic workflows.

Your role involves creating backend services, APIs, and integrations for AI agents, contributing to training environments, and developing automated evaluations and verifications for model and agent behavior.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with production software.
• Strong Python skills and backend development experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, or data-intensive software.
• Familiarity with tool calling, prompt/context management, and agent orchestration.
• Understanding of maintainability, testing, version control, and observability.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and containers/CI/CD.
• Ability to investigate unfamiliar systems and deliver reliable work.
• Clear communication and collaboration with engineers, researchers, and product teams.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, tools, and integrations for AI agents and workflows.
• Contribute to realistic training/evaluation environments via APIs, simulations, and test scenarios.
• Implement pipelines collecting agent traces, tool calls, outcomes, and feedback.
• Develop automated evaluations and verification for model/agent behavior and regression tests.
• Review traces and results to identify failures and guide improvements in software, tools, data, or prompts.
• Collaborate with model-training teams to integrate new models and derive engineering feedback.
• Write clean, tested Python code and participate in code reviews and docs.
• Improve reliability via logging, monitoring, testing, and safe deployment practices.
