Qualifications

• Fluent in spoken and written French and English.
• Genuine passion for African and Oceanic Art, with ethical standards.
• Strong team orientation and ability to act as an ambassador for Sotheby's.
• Knowledge of academic archives and reference sources is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Assist with evaluation of potential consignments with the Head of Department and international team.
• Catalogue items for auction and private sales with in-depth research on authenticity, provenance, and quality.
• Compose catalogue essays in French and English to high editorial standards and deadlines.
• Oversee production of catalogue photography, image editing, color-correction and layout.
• Assist in producing valuation documents, proposals, and market analysis.
• Respond to client inquiries by email, phone, and in person; act as department ambassador.
