Mudgee Public School is seeking a skilled Special Education teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in a rural NSW community. The successful applicant will deliver explicit teaching, develop Individual Learning Plans, and work collaboratively with families, SLSOs, and allied health professionals.

This role requires current NSW approval to teach, a commitment to inclusive education, and the ability to manage challenging behaviours while contributing to wellbeing and school

Qualifications

• Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience teaching students with Autism and Behaviour Difficulties, with a strong commitment to inclusive education.
• Work collaboratively with parents and carers, SLSOs, allied health professionals and multidisciplinary teams to empower student voice, independence, learning and wellbeing.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, explicit teaching and learning programs aligned to the syllabus and differentiated for students with complex disabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to apply strong classroom management skills with wellbeing practices to support inclusion and connectedness.
