Job summary

Eutelsat Communications SA in France seeks a Mission Ops Engineer for the IRIS2 programme. This role blends Mission Planning and Payload Engineering with pre-launch engineering and validation at the Toulouse Control Centre.

You will define operations procedures, participate in milestone reviews, and support real‑time mission execution while coordinating with MCC and Constellation teams. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Telecommunications or Aerospace Engineering.
• Proven experience in satellite operations: Mission Planning/Scheduling and Payload Engineering/Operations.
• Strong understanding of RF payloads, processing, and resource allocation.
• Experience with Ground Stations and Gateways is preferred.
• Ability to work 5/7 with on-call support and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Engineering of Operations & mission preparation: define procedures, validate and document workflows.
• Support transition into active operation: contribute to training and campaigns.
• Mission Planning & Resource Optimization: design workflows, configure resources, plan real-time activities, monitor health.
• Payload Management & Monitoring: manage schedules, payload health, anomalies, and relocations.
• ITIL Process Definition & Authoring: write ITIL-based processes for incidents, changes and requests.
