Job summary

Eutelsat Communications SA is seeking a Flight Dynamics Lead Engineer for the IRIS2 programme to lead the S&O flight dynamics team in Toulouse. You will oversee orbital determination, manoeuvre planning, and space traffic management across ground elements, ensuring readiness for active operations.

The role requires a senior aerospace background, leadership across multidisciplinary teams, and strong experience with ground infrastructure specifications and tool procurement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace engineering, Physics, or Mathematics (specialization in orbital mechanics or flight dynamics).
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in flight dynamics software and operations for orbit determination and space traffic management protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and leadership to a team of Flight Dynamics engineers.
• Coordinate operations across ground elements and satellite manufacturers.
• Oversee orbital determination, manoeuvre planning, STM, and collision avoidance.
• Support operational readiness through reviews and milestone activities.
• Define specifications for operability of ground infrastructure and participate in procurement/technical evaluations.
