Job summary

Eutelsat Communications SA is seeking an experienced Flight Dynamics Lead Engineer to join the S&O team for the IRIS2 programme. You will oversee orbit determination, manoeuvre planning, and space traffic management, coordinating across a multi-disciplinary team in a high-stakes, global environment.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field, 10+ years in flight dynamics, and strong leadership with fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in flight dynamics software and operations for orbit determination and space traffic management protocols, with a strong preference for LEO or MEO constellations.
• Proven experience in leading and coordinating technical engineering teams within space operations environments.
• Working schedule capability for 5d/7 - 8h/d plus on-call support.
• Fluent in English with very good written and verbal communication skills.
• Security Clearance & Nationality: EU citizen eligible for EU security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight for flight dynamics activities across the IRIS2 programme, including orbit determination, manoeuvre planning and STM.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of flight dynamics engineers within the Ground Control Centre framework.
• Coordinate with ground element managers and satellite manufacturers for anomaly troubleshooting.
• Contribute to procurement and evaluation of flight dynamics tools and software.
• Develop and refine flight dynamics processe s and training campaigns.
• Ensure operational readiness for the start of operations and continuous improvement in fleet health.
