Airbus Defence and Space SAS in Toulouse seeks an Engineering Quality Manager to join the Quality Transversal Connected Intelligence team and guarantee a robust quality management system for the division. You will support engineering project teams to deliver on time, on cost, and on quality across initiatives.

The role emphasizes defining and enforcing quality controls, plans, and reviews, while ensuring alignment with ISO 9001/AQAP standards; a security clearance may be required for certain

Qualifications

• Languages: Fluent in French and English.
• Autonomous and proactive way of working.
• Profound communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in program and project management would be a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AQAP quality management system.
• Knowledge of engineering processes and best practice.
• Knowledge of auditing processes and systems.
• Knowledge of process frameworks (e.g., CMMI, V-model) would be a plus.
• Experience in multi-functional team environments.

• Ensure technical requirements are documented, baselined and understood by the engineering team.
• Ensure quality controls and engineering reviews are performed per plans.

• Develop verification and validation test plans and create test environments.
• Facilitate test readiness reviews and test review boards.
• Develop quality management and software quality assurance plans for new projects.

Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Engineering Quality Manager (m/f) to join our Quality Transversal Connected Intelligence based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a transnational team ensuring an efficient quality management system to enable the division to deliver sustainable E2E Quality products and services.

As part of the Quality Transversal Connected Intelligence, you will be involved in supporting engineering projects teams to develop and implement the technical solution, on time, on cost and on quality.

Your challenges:

Plan, implement and follow-up activities intended to assure that the design, controls, methods and techniques in a project result in a satisfactory level of quality in a product/service according to requirements :

• Assure technical requirements are documented, baselined and understood by the engineering project team
• Assure engineering project teams perform all the quality controls and engineering reviews required in the engineering and quality plans
• Assure problems reports, any non-conformities to technical requirements are captured, followed and resolved
• Assure verification and validation test plans are developed and test environment created
• Facilitate test readiness reviews and test review boards
• Facilitate lessons learnt review with the engineering project team and support the implementation of improvement actions
• Develop Quality management and software quality assurance plans for new projects and assure that the engineering plans and work packages adequately cover the work breakdown structure defined by the project team and the product breakdown structure defined by the system architect.

Your profile:

• Min 2 years of professional experience in quality environment
• Autonomous and proactive way of working
• Profound communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in program and project management would be a plus
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AQAP quality management system
• Knowledge of engineering processes and best practice
• Knowledge of auditing processes and systems
• Knowledge of process frameworks e.g. CMMI, V-model would be a plus
• Experience of performing within a multi-functional team environment
• Languages : Fluent in French and English.
