Airbus in Toulouse seeks a Quality Development Architect to join the Central Quality Organization (QMD). You will design automation and robotics solutions for composite technologies on the nextGen Aircraft program, shaping quality process architecture and preventive standards to ensure high quality levels across future programs.

Qualifications

• Background in Engineering or Industrial Engineering with strong experience.
• Expertise in composite tech, robotics, automation, and statistics.
• Strong preventive quality tools mastery (FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan) and APQP.
• Knowledge of AS/EN 9100 or ISO 9001 and complex problem solving (8D/5 Whys/Ishikawa).
• Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally (Hamburg, Spain).

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Quality Development Architect (f/m) to join our Central Quality Organization (QMD) based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team developing automation and robotics solutions for composite technologies on the nextGen Aircraft program. As part of the team, you will be involved in quality process architecture and preventive standards definition aiming at guaranteeing the required quality level for future aeronautical programs .

Your challenges:

• Define quality process architecture and integrate manufacturing quality requirements into development projects (nextGen).
• Evaluate technology maturity (TRL/MRL) during gate reviews in collaboration with Engineering and Production.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering in deploying preventive quality standards (PFMEA, SPC, MSA) on technology projects.
• Conduct machine capability studies on automated solutions using recognized statistical methods.
• Lead root cause analysis (8D/9S) and collect lessons learned to continuously improve the quality system.

Your boarding pass:

• Background in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering combined with profound professional experience.
• Technical expertise in composite technologies, robotics, automation, and statistical methods.
• Mastery of preventive quality tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan) and APQP framework (ref. 9145).
• Knowledge of Aviation, Space and Defense QMS requirements (AS/EN 9100 or ISO 9001) and complex problem solving (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
• Fluent English (written/spoken) and transnational mindset willing to travel frequently (Hamburg, Spain).
