Tara Gaming in Europe is seeking a Senior Engine Programmer to join the Engine team and design, develop, and enhance core Unreal-based systems for AAA production. You will collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to build robust, scalable tools and workflows.

As a contractor, you will own engine subsystems from architecture to delivery, mentor 3–4 developers, optimize performance, and help the team get the most out of Unreal Engine 5 on PC and consoles.

Qualifications

• At least AA+ or AAA shipped title on PC and last-gen consoles.
• 2+ years engine-level Unreal/other engine experience.
• 5+ years professional C++ experience.
• Experience with multithreading.
• Strong system-architecture design skills.
• Experience debugging engine-level issues.
• Experience in performance analysis and optimization.
• Nice to have: Streaming, Memory, and Optimization systems experience.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement core gameplay and engine systems in Unreal Engine.
• Collaborate across Tech, Design, Level Design, Art to integrate features.
• Improve and maintain tools, systems, and pipelines for performance.
• Mentor 3–4 developers in a team.
• Contribute to technical planning, architecture and code reviews.
• Debug, profile, and optimize engine systems for performance and memory.
