Job summary

Tate & Lyle is seeking a Senior Technical Sales Account Manager to provide expert technical support in the EMEA region, mainly France. You will translate customer needs into tailored ingredient solutions, support product customization, and manage technical projects across the product development lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Science & Innovation, and Quality teams, travel up to 60% within France, Benelux, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and wider EMEA.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical or scientific field; MSc in Food Science/Technology or Food Chemistry is an advantage.
• 5+ years in a technical, application or sales role in dairy/fruit prep/baby food, food or ingredient industry.
• In-depth technical knowledge of dairy/fruit prep/baby food and related food applications.
• Experience with functional ingredients such as starches, hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, fibres and sweeteners.
• Strong communication, influencing and solution-selling skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% across South Europe cluster and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Drive pipeline-led growth with and for customers.
• Partner with Sales Account Managers to build relationships and opportunities.
• Act as technical consultant for accounts, offering ingredient solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create tailored concepts.
• Lead technical presentations, on-site trials and customer meetings.
• Manage technical projects and maintain formulation records with due diligence.
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities through technical insight.
