Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Caen is seeking a Systems & Applications Engineer to support customers using our wireless connectivity products that operate above 50 GHz with multi-gigabit interfaces. You will validate products, build demos, write technical documents and help customers integrate our solutions.

You should have a degree in electrical engineering, 3+ years in relevant fields, experience with USB/DisplayPort, an interest in RF/mmWave, hands-on lab skills and some Python scripting.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in applications, systems, validation or hardware engineering.
• Working knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as USB or DisplayPort.
• Interest in RF/mmWave technology.
• Hands-on lab experience.
• Python scripting is a plus.
• Good English.
• Willing to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Support customers during evaluation, design-in and debugging.
• Validate product performance on evaluation kits and customer platforms.
• Build and maintain demo setups and evaluation boards.
• Help write application notes, user guides and quick-start guides.
• Run lab measurements and report results.
• Support training, customer visits and trade show demos.
