## Principal System EngineerApplylocations: Caen: Eindhoventime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-10063926**Job Summary** NXP Semiconductors France is seeking a Principal System Engineer to lead the architectural definition, design, and implementation of complex embedded systems, ensuring cutting-edge performance and reliability for our next-generation semiconductor products.The preferred candidate is mid level experienced system engineer with prior work expertise in system engineering, modeling, performance study, etc **Job Responsibilities*** Lead the system-level architecture definition and design for new semiconductor products, encompassing hardware, software, and firmware aspects.* Conduct detailed system analysis, requirements gathering, and specification development, translating product requirements into technical solutions.* Perform feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and risk assessments for proposed system architectures.* Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and verification teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of system components.* Develop and implement system-level test plans and strategies to ensure robust functionality and performance.* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.* Act as a key technical interface with customers, understanding their needs and translating them into technical requirements and solutions.* Drive continuous improvement in system engineering processes and methodologies.* Contribute to intellectual property generation through patent disclosures and technical publications.**Job Qualifications*** Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.* 12+ years of experience in system engineering, with a strong focus on embedded systems and semiconductor product development.* Excellent written, oral and presentation capability* Individual contributor but works closely with team members from diverse cultures and geographies* Strong expertise in programming and modeling - C, C++, MATLAB, Python,* Sold experience in wireless communication system design, or control system design, DC-DC modeling and performance analysis, jitter modeling* Worked in product specification and development in analog-mixed signal domain
