Job summary

BeReal is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen reliability and scalability of its global platform. You will work on Kubernetes-driven infrastructure, implement SRE practices, and collaborate with development squads to ship reliable, cost-efficient services.

The role emphasizes ownership, pragmatic decisions balancing performance and cost, and active contribution to observability, incident management, and architectural best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and distributed systems.
• Experience applying SRE practices (SLOs, incident management, observability).
• Proven ownership mindset and ability to drive reliability improvements.
• Comfortable collaborating with engineers and making technical decisions.
• Balance reliability with delivery speed and business priorities.

Responsibilities

• Apply and maintain SRE practices across scope: SLIs, SLOs, incident management, postmortems.
• Design, implement, and optimize infra for availability, scalability, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Contribute to observability stack: monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing.
• Automate infra and workflows (Terraform, Terragrunt, Kubernetes).
• Support FinOps efforts to optimize cloud costs.
• Partner with development squads to improve service reliability and performance.
• Share knowledge to raise reliability standards across teams.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks and implement scaling and optimization strategies.
