Job summary

Crossbeam seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead architecture and reliability across its platform in France. You will own major platform initiatives, design scalable infra, and mentor engineers while remaining hands-on with production systems.

You will collaborate with distributed teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, observability, and security, using AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and database tech like PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10+ years in SRE, Platform Eng, DevOps or Infra Engineering
• Kubernetes and Docker in production at scale
• AWS with complex cloud architectures
• Terraform and IaC
• Reliability, scalability, observability in production
• CI/CD environments, ideally GitHub Actions
• PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB in production
• Security practices in infrastructure
• ownership of infra projects/migrations with measurable outcomes
• Strong communication and influencing across Eng teams
• Mentoring engineers and leading initiatives without formal management
• Professional working English in distributed environments

Responsibilities

• Architect, build and evolve highly available, scalable infrastructure
• Own major Platform and Reliability initiatives from design to production
• Provide technical leadership across Engineering
• Manage core infra around AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform
• Work with Helm, FluxCD, Kustomize for deployment and infra
• Collaborate with dev teams on automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Strengthen observability and resolve reliability, performance, capacity issues
• Troubleshoot production problems, participate in on-call and post-mortems
• Improve security practices and tooling for infra
• Engage with databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and data tools
• Interface with cloud/distributed systems (Confluent, Snowflake, Temporal)
• Drive automation, architectural reviews, and continuous improvement
• Create runbooks, playbooks, and architecture docs
